Case study · Garlic'n Lemons

It started with a brand manual. It became the whole restaurant.

Garlic'n Lemons is a Mediterranean restaurant and catering favorite in Boston. They came to us with great food, no defined brand and no system to run orders. One project kept turning into the next.

Garlic'n Lemons is a Mediterranean restaurant and catering business in Boston. CGRabbit, a product studio in Florianópolis, Brazil, created its brand manual and mascots, redesigned the restaurant space and menus, runs social posts and campaigns, built an animated website in Framer and built its catering and pickup ordering with a back office.

The problem

Great food, nothing holding it together.

A catering favorite in a city that takes food seriously, running without the two things that make a restaurant scale.

  • No defined brandNo identity to carry across the menu, the walls, the site and the packaging.
  • No system to run the operationOrders, kitchen and delivery had nothing tying them together.

Brand, space and social

Every surface, one brand.

We built the identity from zero: the brand manual, colors and type, and a family of mascots that now live all over the restaurant and its feed. Then we dressed the place itself: the menu board, the walls, the glass with the mascots and the counter. And we keep the brand moving online, with Instagram posts and campaigns like the 16 Years celebration and the app launch.

Website

A site as good as the food.

An interactive, animated 3D website built in Framer, with the mascots front and center and its own AI assistant, Chef Mama Rosie. It sends every visitor to order online or book catering.

Systems

The software that runs it.

Catering and pickup ordering on their own site, a back office for the kitchen, logistics, orders, menu and prep sheets, an app for their drivers and an app for their customers. They own it: no per-order fees, no lock-in.

Illustrations, not screenshots. Garlic'n Lemons' systems hold their customers' data, so we keep the real screens private.

The result

One partner for the whole ecosystem.

  • Brand to back office

identity, space, website and systems, one after the other

  • One team

from the brand manual to the driver app

  • Still building

every delivery earned the next project

  • They own it

no per-order fees and no lock-in on their ordering

In plain wordsOne studio built the brand, dressed the restaurant, made the website and wrote the software that takes the orders. When you need the next thing, you call the same people.
