Case study · Ernesto's Pizza
Every location. One place to order.
Ernesto's Pizza has locations in Boston's North End and in Somerville. Each one sold online through its own store, and the main site could show the menu but couldn't take an order. The plan: one ordering site for every location, on the system already running at Garlic'n Lemons.
Ernesto's Pizza is a pizzeria with locations in Boston's North End and in Somerville. CGRabbit, a product studio in Florianópolis, Brazil, planned one ordering site and one dashboard for every location, on the ordering system already running for another Boston restaurant.
Before
The problem
Three sites, none of them in charge.
- An online store per locationEach location sold through its own separate store, so every change had to be made more than once.
- A main site that couldn't sellThe main site showed the menu, then sent customers somewhere else to order.
- Orders split across systemsNo single view of what was selling, across the whole business.
The plan
Reuse what already works.
Instead of building from zero, the plan moves Ernesto's onto the ordering system already running at Garlic'n Lemons, adapted to a pizzeria.
- One ordering site
Every order happens on ernestospizza.com, with a choice of location.
- Storefronts that point there
Each location's site stays as a storefront: menu, hours and directions, with every order button sending customers to the one checkout.
- One dashboard
Every order from every location in one place, with abandoned carts that can be brought back.
- Proven, not prototyped
The same system that already takes orders for Garlic'n Lemons, so nothing is rebuilt from zero.
The result

This case study is in progress. We publish results when they're real, not before.
